Ukrainian partners visit FIW

| faculty
Two weeks ago, Dr. Denys Meshkov and Hanna Prytychenko, employees of the German Training Centre (DAZ) of our partner university in Ukraine, visited FIW to discuss future cooperation opportunities.

The National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (KhPI) in Ukraine has been a close partner of the Faculty of Computer Science and Business Information Systems (FIW) for several years. Ukrainian students regularly come to FIW for a semester abroad. This partnership is now being taken to a new level: in September, the joint, virtual cooperation project "Mobility Goes Virtual" was launched.

The National Technical University has strong ties to Germany. It has its own German Training Centre (DAZ), which, among other things, supports KhPI students in terms of mobility, offers German courses and is significantly involved in expanding cooperation with German partner universities. Two representatives of the DAZ, Hanna Prytychenko and Dr. Denys Meshkov, were at FHWS last week and visited our faculty on Wednesday, 8 December 2021.

The aim of the visit was not only to get to know each other personally, but also to discuss new collaboration possibilities that can be implemented at both universities in medium and long term.

Among other things, KhPI's participation in the International Teaching Week 2022 was discusses, as well as the general possibility of staff mobility and the potential implementation of a joint double degree programme.

Both sides considered the visit very promising and want to intensify the already existing partnership through new, exciting mobility offers.
