This elective module (FWPM) was initially offered in summer semester 2019. Over the course of two weeks, ten students of the faculties Business and Engineering, Business and Economics, Computer Science and Business Information Systems developed technical solutions and business plans on Machine Learning in collaboration with 20 students of partner universities in Thailand and China.

The two-week field trip to Bangkok and Chumphon in Thailand was organised as Summer School. In the first week, the participants developed technical knowledge of computer science, and business and economics. In the second week, the participants completed research projects in groups with students of all three higher education institutions.

Following this pattern, the Summer School is supposed to be offered annually with the location varying between Bangkok, Nanjing and Würzburg.
