Business Information Systems (Bachelor of Science)

Due to an increasing spread of IT, the interaction of people and information systems becomes more and more important for our society. Having graduated in the bachelor's programme Business Information Systems, our students will be able to solve complex issues regarding operational information processing and supply.

Business informatics is the crucial link between modern information and communication technology and their efficient use in businesses. 

Today and in the future, our graduates look forward to various tasks in different specialist and management areas of businesses. Our comprehensive academic education provides skills to solve problems and to quickly familiarize with the numerous application areas of business informatics, comprehensive basic knowledge as well as interdisciplinary methodological and social skills.

Studying at FHWS is fun. The lecturers are highly competent in their respective fields of activity and during their courses they show real interest in the students. With interesting seminars, some of them take place abroad, FHWS offers many opportunities to gather some international experience.


Overview

  • Full-time studies for seven semesters in German with numerous optional modules in German and English.
  • No admission restriction
  • During the programme, a total of 210 ECTS credits must be achieved.
  • FHWS location: Sanderheinrichsleitenweg 20 in Würzburg 
  • Studies start in the winter semester each year, i.e. on 1 October.
  • Academic degree Bachelor of Science

Requirements

In order to be able to take up studies in Business Information Systems, the following is required:

  • general higher education qualification
  • subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
  • an entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife) or
  • an entrance qualification for a bachelor's programme at universities of applied sciences that is being recognised by law or the public authority responsible as being equal to the ones mentioned above.
