Examination Committees

Duties and responsibilities

The duties of examination committees are stipulated in § 20 (3) of the General Examination Regulations of THWS in its version from 28 January 2019. Among others, they comprise the following:Opens internal link in current window

• determination and communication of exam dates;
• appointment of examiners and co-examiners for oral exams;
• determination and communication of allowed materials/resources after suggestions from the examiners;
• decisions on any case of credit transfer;
• decisions about the consequences of violations of examination regulations and of failing to attend an examination;
• decisions on applications for deadline extensions;
• determination of examination results;

Compilation of examination committees

The compilation and duties of examination committees are stipulated in § 20 of the General Examination Regulations of THWS as well as in § 10 of the Study and Examination Regulations for our bachelor’s programmes in E-Commerce, Computer Science, and Business Information Systems and § 9 of the Study and Examination Regulations for the Master’s programme in Information Systems.
