From Lithuania to India: 17 exchange students begin their studies at FIW
A total of 17 students from Finland, India, Romania, Lithuania, Russia, Turkey, and the Czech Republic have come to Würzburg for the winter semester 2026/27.
There’s also a real highlight this year: For the first time, students are enrolling in an integrated double-degree programme in the Department of Computer Science—three from our Finnish partner institution, Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), and six from Christ University in India. The nine students will spend a full year in Würzburg and, upon completing their studies, will receive two degrees: one from THWS and one from their home institution.
By the way: There’s a simple reason why not all 17 exchange students are shown in the photos—a few students were unable to arrive until a little later due to organizational reasons and were welcomed in a second group. We wish all new exchange students a great start to the semester and a wonderful time in Würzburg!
