The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems is delighted that 11 students from the two Master's programs successfully participated in the ICDD 2024 student conference at our partner university in Sibiu, Romania. From 23 to 25 May, our students presented six scientific papers, two of which were awarded prizes.

The ICDD conference has been taking place since 2017 and gives young researchers in computer science the opportunity to present their first scientific papers. The broad range of topics covers both practical and technical aspects of computer science and software development.

This year's ICDD also focussed on the application of machine learning methods. The conference was organized by Prof. Dr. Dana Simian, a regular guest professor and lecturer during our International Weeks. Our faculty has been a regular guest since 2018, and participation in the conference is generously supported financially by the faculty.

This year, the work presented came from the two-semester project in the Master's degree program in Artificial Intelligence and the science seminar in the Master's degree program in Digital Business Systems. We congratulate all participating students on their success and are proud of their achievements. Special thanks go to the professors who supported and encouraged the students.
